#SriLankan Airlines gets new #Airbus A330-300

As part of its fleet renewal program, the national carrier SriLankan Airlines yesterday took delivery of the new Airbus A330-300, under 12 years operating lease.This is the first of the series of seven Airbus A330-300s which SriLankan is planning to take delivery during the next 14 months, and the second such aircraft will be added on t o its existing 23 fleet by the end of 2014.


Chairman, SriLankan Airlines Nishantha Wickremasinghe reaffirmed the national carrier’s commitment to the development of the country’s aviation sector and views the acquisition of the aircraft as a progressive move towards supporting the government’s goal to make Sri Lanka an Aviation Hub in the region.
