IT raids have exposed that Noida Chief Engineer Yadav Singh's scam worth more than Rs.900 crore.Income tax officials have found unaccounted assets at the residence and offices of Yadav Singh former chief engineer of Noida Authority.
They also unearthed 40 fake companies running under his wife Kusumlata's name. Sources in the department say Singh's scam runs over Rs.900 crore.
Yadav Singh had executed all infrastructure projects in Noida during the Bahujan Samaj Party rule. According to the chargesheet, agreements with construction companies were signed for execution of projects worth Rs 954 crore in eight days in December 2011.Yadav Singh was suspended after SP government came to power in 2012. He was charged with irregularities and fund embezzlement in execution of infrastructure projects worth Rs 954 crore. But, he was reinstated in 2013.Singh used to get 5% as commission on every contract that he awarded to a contractor.
