Left Front in West Bengal has called for 12hour long General Strike in the state of West Bengal on 30th April protesting against violence, rigging and booth capturing in the recently concluded corporation elections in West Bengal. Informing this, to the media persons Left Front chairman Biman Basu said that murderous assault on democracy in the state has taken place on 18th April during the Kolkata Corporation elections and on 25th April during polls to the 91 municipalities of the state. Leaders of all the constituents of the Left Front including Left Front Chairman Biman Basu , RSP leader Manoj Bhattacharya , CPI leader Manjukumar Majumdar, Forward Block leader Hafiz Alam Sairani present at the press conference.
