#Toyota Kirloskar Motor launches new Camry Hybrid and Gasoline models

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched new Camry Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched new Camry Hybrid and Camry Gasoline with new exterior appropriate for luxury sedan.
The new Camry Hybrid is priced at Rs.31.92 Lakh and Camry gasoline is priced at Rs.28.80 Lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi).
Camry Hybrid comes with Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) powertrain. Camry Hybrid’s “full hybrid” powertrain combines the performance of a 2.5 litre Atkinson cycle four - cylinder gasoline engine and a high - torque electric motor.

The Camry Hybrid has a combined power (engine + motor) output of 205 PS coupled with leading – edge fuel economy of 19.16 kmpl* and 122.8 gm of CO2 emissions per km of driving, which is far lesser than the conventional vehicles of similar engine size. The Camry Hybrid comes with an Electronically Controlled Continuous Variable Transmission (E-CVT), which provides enhanced driving performance, with reduced fuel consumption and lower NVH.

The Camry Hybrid a full hybrid is a self charging vehicle, unlike an electric vehicle. When the vehicle decelerates or at the time of braking, the electric motor acts as a generator and converts the kinetic energy to electric energy in a process called regenerative braking. This energy is stored in Camry Hybrid’s HV battery pack for later use when needed to power the vehicle.
Camry gasoline was first introduced in 2002, in India. In 2012, TKM began locally manufacturing the gasoline Camry.  with new exterior appropriate for luxury sedan.
