UP Govt has suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur for indiscipline,anti-government point of view, violating the High Court directions, indifference towards duties and responsibilities of his post and violation of rules.
Thakur had lodged an FIR against Mulayam Singh Yadav with an audio recording in which Mulayam Singh Yadav had threatened him with dire consequences.On Saturday night, an FIR was filed against Thakur for “rape”, on the basis of a complaint filed by a Ghaziabad-based woman a few months ago.
Journalist Jagendra Singh who was allegedly set on fire during a police raid at his house on June 1 named UP minister for Backward Classes Welfare Ram Murti Verma and others in his dying declaration which IPS Amitabh Thakur recorded.The journalist invited Verma's ire by posting reports on Facebook about illegal mining activities and land grabbing against the minister.
Backward Classes Welfare of UP Ram Murti Verma is still absconding.
