Kith and kin of MP judges are alleged beneficiaries of #Vyapam scam

A list of top Madhya Pradesh High Cour judges with their alleged links to Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) recruitment scam, also called the Vyapam scam, has been handed over in a sealed envelope to the Chief Justice of India by Dr Anand Rai Vyapam scam whistleblower and others.They have told the apex court that the 'kith and kin' of judges, IAS and IPS officers are among those who bought seats in private institutions, medical and dental colleges.A bench headed by Chief Justice HL Dattu said all cases will stand transferred to the CBI from Monday and the agency will file its report before it on July 24.The whistle-blowers' lawyer, Prashan Bhushan, told the apex court that impersonators were allowed to appear in the examination for real applicants who later took admission. The real candidate's photo was replaced by that of the impersonator on the OMR sheet and the signatures were taken in capital letters. Besides, fake roll numbers were allotted.



Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice A M Khanwilkar and Justice Alok Aradhe earlier rejected a slew of PILs seeking a CBI probe into the MPPEB scam and ordered constitution of a special investigation team (SIT).Senior advocates K T S Tusli, Indira Jaisingh and Vivek Tankha among others appeared for the petitioners, including former CM Digvijaya Singh, who sought a CBI probe into the scam.
