PVR has opened a new 9 screen multiplex at VR Mall in Whitefield Bengaluru.Ajay Bijli, Chairman and Managing Director, PVR Ltd said, “We are extremely excited to have come up with another multiplex in Bengaluru. With no dearth of entertainment in the city burgeoning with massive shopping malls, pubs, art galleries & auditoriums, PVR has strategically planned its seventh property for the people to catch up their favorite movies. We hope that with our premier offering (Gold Class, IMAX) the customers here are thoroughly entertained.
PVR also launched its second IMAX (after Forum Mall, Koramangala) and four Gold Class screens in the property.With this addition, PVR will have 57 multiplex screens across 7 properties in the city.Presently PVR has more than 480 screens in the country and aims to cross the mark of 500 screens soon. With this launch, PVR screen count rises to 491 screens at 109 properties in 44 cities in India.Currently,PVR's investments in Bengaluru are to the tune of Rs. 150 crore.In the next 10 days, PVR will be launching a 16-screen complex at Vaishnavi Sapphire Mall in Yeshwanthpur. A 12 screen complex at Vega City Mall in JP Nagar as well.
