North #Dakota State Univ. opens Centers for Systems Innovation and #Global Studies at #NMIT #Bangalore campus

Nitte School of Management and Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology has signed two MoUs with North Dakota State University (NDSU) USA. The MoU will allow NDSU and Nitte School of Management (NSM) to offer a two year joint program leading to the award of MS Degree. Meritorious students selected for the program will complete one year at NSM and the second year at NDSU, USA for completion of the curriculum. The degree will be awarded by NDSU.The other MoU covers Research and Development, Faculty and Student Exchange Programs in the areas of Agri Business and Applied Economics.


Speaking on the occasion, Prof. N. R. Shetty, Chairman, Karnataka State Universities' Review Commission said “In the light of the 'Start Up India – Stand up India' campaign inaugurated by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this is an opportune moment to start research centres on “Systems Innovation” and “Global Studies”. These centres and the like, are likely to play a critical role in enhancing quality of education and supporting the global innovation economy.”
Dr. Dean Bresciani, President, NDSU stressed the need for global partnerships in education to tackle global challenges.

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) is an Autonomous Institution affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), with the approval of UGC and Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) under Tier-1 scheme and by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC-UGC) with A Grade.
