#GMR led DIAL launches mobile app for e-clearance of #Cargo at IGI

GMR Group led Delhi International Airport P Limited (DIAL) has unveiled an app for Cargo operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).The app ‘DIAL Cargo' offers different levels of authorised access to the cargo terminal operators, Customs, Custom House Agents, Airlines, Freight Forwarders, shippers/Consignees and other Statutory bodies , thereby enabling greater visibility into Cargo operations and tangible cost and resource benefits.

“DIAL Cargo’ app will benefit the entire Air Trade System where you can transact complete business functionalities such as tracking Consignment, paying Terminal Charges, issuing Delivery and Carting Orders and many such items in a paperless manner.  In line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Digital India vision- this is our contribution in supporting the Air Cargo business at Delhi Airport. DIAL Cargo is our second official app after FlyDel,” said Indana Prabhakara Rao, CEO, Delhi International Airport

The mobile app enables end-to-end tracking of shipment for end users and helps all the members of the logistics chain in planning their resources.  In addition, it provides complete visibility of shipment/ vehicles within cargo terminal. The app can also integrate the messages received from Customs Electronic Data Interchange System. This will reduce the paper work, dwell time and help the Customs Brokers to transact their respective business functionalities through mobile.The app aids in e-clearance of Cargo through Customs Department.

“One unique aspect of this app is the seamless integration with both the cargo operators- Celebi and DCSC. At present this app is available only on Android platform but we have plans to introduce the same features on both windows and IOS as well,” added Mr. Rao.
