Sony has launched its latest Alpha series camera called the A68 A-mount in India. The new Sony camera sports a 4D autofocus system, which gives users phase detection autofocus with 79 focus points, including 15 cross points. It is powered by the company’s Bionz X image processor, which utilises detailed reproduction and diffraction-reducing tech along with area-specific noise reduction.


The Sony A68 A-mount camera comes with a 24-meg APS-C Exmor CMOS image sensor, and offers ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 to 25,600. It features Translucent Mirror Technology, which lets users shoot 8fps continuous stills. The camera is capable of recording full HD videos in the XAVC S format up to 50mbps, and comes with an OLED electronic viewfinder to frame shots along with a 2.7-inch LCD. Its other features include a control wheel on the back, customisable buttons, a front dial for quick adjustments for settings, and Sony’s SteadyShot to reduce camera shake.
The Sony A68 A-mount has been priced at Rs 55,990 for the body-only model. You will also be able to buy it as a kit with either an AL1855 lens for Rs 59,990 or a SAL18135 lens for Rs 85,990. The camera will be available in all Sony Center, Alpha flagship stores and major electronic stores across the country.
