Future Group plans to open six new Central malls by March 2017 says Kishore Biyani in #Bengaluru today

Kishore Biyani founded Future Group which recently got merged with Bharti Retail plans to open six new Central malls across the country. It plans to reach Rs.3,000 crore business under the Central brand alone by March 2017."We plan to set up six more Central malls to take the total count to 38 in 22 cities by March 2017. We are looking at a huge business plan of Rs.3,000 crore," said Kishore Biyani during his visit to the renovated Bangalore Central mall today.


Future Group has spent Rs.7,000-8,000 per square foot in renovating the 1,10,000 sqft Bangalore Central mall. Among the upcoming malls, Aerocity in Delhi will house a very large Central Mall. 'The average ticket is expected to increase by Rs.100-Rs.150 post this renovation work,' added Biyani.
'WhatsApp shopping (where a customer can send the photograph of a product he wishes to buy, which can be delivered at home), booking an appointment with fashion stylists, valet parking facilities, weekend community events at the mall premises are some of the new initiatives to attract customers' said Central brand CEO Vishnu Prasad.


Central is a chain of fashion departmental stores located in central areas of large Indian metropolises and cities. Central stores are large-format stores measuring between 60,000 square feet to 230,000 square feet and offering over 500 domestic and international brands across different categories.
