Bosch Ltd. Reinforces Commitment to Nasik


Reinforcing its strong commitment to Nasik, Bosch Limited today announced an investment of Rs 300 crores in 2012. This is part of the Rs

2200 Crore Investment for the entire Bosch Group in India that was announced in January this year. The funds will go towards significant capacity expansion, increase in production space along with increase in headcount. In the wake of improved diesel injection equipment demand, Bosch Nasik plant has invested substantially in enhancing capacity. Production of Common Rail Injection systems has gone up by 60%. The production of Nozzle holders of has gone up by 20%.

The enormous increase in production capacity has also resulted in the increase of production space. The Nasik plant is investing in enhancing production space to the tune of 35,000 square meters to meet the expansion plan. Apart from production space, funds have also been allocated for a new office building. The newly constructed office building is expected to accommodate 140 persons. In terms of headcount, 2012 will see the recruitment of over 400 persons in different areas of work. Commenting on the occasion Mr. Gopikumar, Vice President – Commercial, Bosch Limited Nasik Plant, said “Our commitment to Nasik is undisputed. We are playing a very important role in contributing towards meeting market demand of the Bosch Group in India.


With respect to CSR, the Nasik plant has an extremely robust portfolio that is augmented from time to time. The Bosch Nasik plant CSR Vision is “to commit ourselves to environmental protection and social responsibility”. Over the years the Nasik plant has taken up several CSR initiatives both directly as well as through Nasik Run Charitable Trust. A lot thrust is also given on areas like education, Health care, environment and community development. One of the most recent initiatives is adoption of Dubeywadi village for community development. The Bosch Nasik plant plans to adopt more villages in future.
