The grand event was based on the audio release of the film Shiva at the Madakari grounds in Chitradurga. The stellar of actors from the Kannada industry were a part of the event. The event that saw a crowd of more than 40,000 people saw Shivanna as a singer, a dancer and in his various emotions. Duniya Vijay, Vijay Raghavenda, Neetu, Yash, Ragini Dwivedi, Rishika Singha and other budding actors were a part of the stellar performances in the event. Upendra had the audience in a daze with his dialogue and Vijay danced to a very popular song of Shivrajkumar. There were special performances by the other artists for the songs of ‘Shiva’. The cheering crowd had to be controlled by a lathi charge by the police.
Several producers, distributers, politicians were a part of the mega event. Geeta Shivrajkumar accompanied the actor in the launch of the audio.
A curtain raiser to the event with candid shots of the artist rehearsals, stage rehearsals, and exclusive footage of song shooting sequences of the film have been incorporated in a special episode “Making of Shiva-Raatri’ which is going to be aired on the same day just before the event at 5:00pm
