Mindful Leadership competition for Students & Mother Teresa Award - Business Ethics and Corporate Governance for responsible corporates citizens.
Mindful Leadership competition
LIBA, along with Dayton University, USA gives a platform for students all over the country to express their views on several social, economic and global issues influencing India. This is a competition on the theme “Accountability and Responsibility” which is being held All India. The preliminary is an essay contest of 1000 words conducted in various cities on the subject. The finals, comprising of all the different city winners is a presentation by the students and will be conducted in Chennai.
The last date for the preliminary round is December, 12th 2012.

The National Winner of this Mindful leadership gets a fully sponsored trip to USA to participate in the Business Engineering Science & Technology (BEST) program at University of Dayton, a Gold Medal, Certificate and a Cash prize of Rs. 10,000. Besides this there are 10 other prizes.
Mother Teresa Award - Business Ethics and Corporate Governance
Under the auspices of the Centre for Business Ethics and Corporate Governance, Mother Teresa Award for Corporate Citizenship is presented to a company that has shown exemplary commitment to the ideal of being a responsible corporate. The participating company should be:
· Be a profit making listed company
· Have explicit recognition of social responsibility in its Mission Statement
· Excel in its duty to all its stakeholders
· Be committed to quality and customer satisfaction
· Have harmonious industrial relations
· Sponsor permanent projects which promote the social and economic empowerment of the marginalized
Some of the previous winners have been Tata Chemicals, CPCL, Tata Steel, Titan Industries, IOC, NTPC, TVS Motors etc. and the awards have been given to them from eminent personalities like Prof. C K Prahalad, H.E. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Mr, Montek Singh Aluwahlia, Mr, murasoliMaran, Mr. Ramakrishna Hegde, Mr. N Gopalasamy etc.
Corporates are to give in their entries to the LIBA with a detailed report of their CSR activities and other outreach work in the prescribed application form available on the Liba website. After evaluation of the same on various fronts, the winner is selected by an eminent jury.
The last date for the entries this year is November 17, 2012.
