Parry Enterprises qualify for national finals of Corporate Golf Challenge

The crème de la crème of Bangalore's corporate world bonded over great golf at Eagleton Golf Resort where the first regional qualifiers for the Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge was held. The teams from Parry Enterprises and Vasant Group secured the top two positions on Day 1 to earn a spot in the national finals to be held in April next year. With two more spots in the national finals up for grabs on day 2, the competition is expected to heat up.

With over a hundred golfers vying for the coveted spot on the National Finals, Eagleton witnessed exciting golf as teams from Jet Airways, Atrimed Pharma, Intel, Oracle and Cisco among others strived to turn in their best performances. Team Parry Enterprises, represented by Gold Division winner of last year's H.S. Doshi Memorial golf tournament at the Madras Gymkhana - Arun Murugappan and Dhananjay Das beat stiff competition from more than 50 other teams to emerge victorious.



An avid golfer with a handicap of14, Dhananjay Das scored 38 Nett points and was supported by team-mate Arun Murugappan (Handicap 9) who pitched in with 34 Nett points to take Parry Enterprises to the top. Ending the day with a total of 72 points, they narrowly edged out Sunil Vasant and Priya Alex of Vasant group for the top spot. Starting with a Handicap of 17, Priya Alex scored 39 points - the best Nett score for the day - while teammate Sunil Vasant (Handicap 8) ended the day with 32 Nett points to give Vasant Group a combined score of 71 Nett points, just one point short of the leaders for the day. Both the teams have qualified for the national finals where they will compete with 12 other teams from different cities for a chance to represent India at the World Finals to be held at the at the quaint Carrick Golf Course, on Loch Lomond, Scotland from the 7th to 12th May 2013.



The second day of the regional qualifiers to be played tomorrow at the Eagleton Golf Resort will see more thrilling golf as over 100 corporate golfers vie for a spot in the national finals of the Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge to be held in April 2013.
