On the availability of the data, experts say that four to six children are born every day with inborn physical abnormalities. Scanning all the pregnant women in endosulfan affected areas for possible fetal abnormalities is necessary, since most of these women are from poor families and they never opt for routine scanning procedures. Fetal scan during the 19th week of pregnancy can help identify fetal abnormalities and facilitate timely interventions.
