Facts Foundation, India in partnership with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF), USA is hosting India’s premier Interventional experience – ACVS (Advanced Cardiovascular Solutions) INDIA 2013 at HICC, Hyderabad from August 8th to 11th, 2013.This was announced by Dr. Guru N Reddy, Founder & Chairman, Continental Hospitals; Dr. A. Sreenivas Kumar & Dr. Susheel Kumar Kodali, Programme Directors, ACVS INDIA 2013, at a Press conference on Wednesday at Continental Hospital. Over 1680 delegates as of today from India and abroad and more than 200 faculty are attending this landmark conference.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Guru Reddy said, its a honour for the city to host a prestigious conference like this. This country has the expertise to offer most of the therapies available anywhere in the world. The idea of this conference is to showcase the best and the latest to the medical community. He said the Continental hospital is promoting the concept of Heart team, where in every case is discussed by a team of cardiologist, cardiothoracic surgeon, anaesthetist and primary physician to benefit the patient with the best outcome.
Dr Srinivas Kumar said, the Conference will have live demo of complex, new procedures and technologies, transmitted from local, national and international sites with all academic institutes of excellence within India being represented. The talented physicians at these sites will demonstrate basic and advanced techniques for coronary, peripheral and structural intervention. Dr. Martin B Leon along with other CRF & Columbia colleagues, will participate actively in the meeting. In addition, this year there will be small group sessions to allow more direct interaction with internationally renowned faculty from both India as well as abroad.
The Fellows’ Course on 8th August, 2013 will have both Echo & Angio CD rapid fire sessions, where trainees will have the ability to get advice from masters in their respective fields. The Pre-Conference Workshops, which once again are aimed at giving an in-depth and a hands-on training experience for the select group of interested delegates will be conducted on 8th August, 2013. This year’s workshops will be on “Acute Stroke Interventions” & “Venous Interventions” and will be coordinated by the renowned Dr. Horst Sievert from Germany - a pioneer in the field of cardiovascular sciences and has been at the forefront of many innovations.
ACVS India for the first time will have a session on Basic Cardiovascular sciences - BCVS Sessions, in partnership with Association of Physicians of India. BCVS Sessions will provide content on key relevant topics in cardiology for general physicians as well as clinical cardiologists. The Conference will also have sessions which will be of interest both to cardiologists & cardiothoracic surgeons and CV Nurse Technician Symposia with ACLS/BCLS training sessions for the cathlab & CCU staff.
