Italian Ambassador wants to develop a twin city in Italy with Bangalore

Italian Ambassador to India Daniele Mancini wants to develop a twin city in Italy with Bangalore. 'We are yet to finlise the Italian city yet but would definitely like to shortlist the one soon which has got lot of similarities with Bangalore.' Ambassador Mancini was speaking at a seminar on the topic ‘Karnataka &  Italy — Emerging Business Opportunities’ organised under the aegis of the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IICCI).

He noted that during the 1950s and 1960s, Italian companies were very well represented in India’s industrial landscape. “However, we have lost that momentum in the last few decades, and it is time to regain it,” Mancini said.

In his maiden trip to Karnataka the Italian Ambassador is visiting Italian business establishments in Karnataka. Ambassador Mancini also visited IISc campus in Bangalore yesterday.
