Haywards 5000 – the flagship brand of SABMiller India, a leading brewer in the country, continues to embark on its journey to celebrate the formidable “Haywardian” spirit. As a part of its vision to strengthen the resolve of every Haywardian, Haywards 5000 introduced the ‘Haywards 5000 Hausla Buland Academy’ a year back. The journey towards this academy started with the Hausla Buland Movement in 2011, which aimed to collect stories of resolve and resilience from people across the country. These stories inspired the new brand identity, "The Hausla Buland Anthem” that inspired like-minded individuals across country.
Taking a step further post the success of the Hausla Buland Movement, Haywards 5000 launched the 'Hausla Buland Academy' last year. The Academy was created to address the training needs for those who have the ambition and the will to achieve, but require an added guidance to help them move forward in their career. Training programmes under the academy include basic and advanced English, interviewing skills, selling skills, soft skills, essential computer skills, basic finance and resume writing.

Through this academy, the brand did offer required skills and training programmes and workshops to help these Haywardians move forward in their jobs and careers.”
Since its launch in April 2013, the Haywards 5000 'Hausla Buland Academy' programme has received over 513 registrations from West Bengal from over 15,000 registrations across India. More than 4,000 people have already enrolled in the training, with a resolve to better their lives and more than 300 people out of which 37 Haywardians have successfully completed their courses under the guidance of counsellors. Besides, the Hausla Buland Academy has provided its members “Soft Skills and Self Confidence Development” workshops across 18 centres in India. This success clearly indicates the need for skill development among adults in India through mentorship and training, a gap which Haywards 5000 has stepped in to fill, true to its positioning of “Hausla Buland”.
Sharing his experience, Mr. Abhishek Kumar Singh, a Haywardian from Rishra, West Bengal who has been a part of Hausla Buland Academy, said, “I’m from Rishra,West Bengal and I had completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Applications. I wanted to enroll for the higher studies but was not sure how to go about it. I came to know about Haywards 5000 Hausla Buland Academy through television advertisement. I registered myself in a academy and had a couple of sessions with counselors which has helped me in understanding the courses and deciding the field for further studies.I realized my skill gaps and started the courses. I attended the workshop organized by the Haywards 5000 in Kolkata and learnt ways to recognize and develop my strengths. I also was guided well as to how to progress and remain positive in life. I recommend that everyone should join this academy .Haywards 5000 Hausla Buland Academy is one of my biggest strength and after talking to the cousellors and doing courses from the academy, I am more confident and ready to face my MBA entrance exams.”
