A mega blood donation camp, aimed at creating awareness among society about the importance of donating blood, was today organised by Gyanoday Digambar Jain Trust Bangalore and Dr Rajkumar (Appaji) Blood Bank at Shree Mahaveer Digambar Jain Temple, Vimanapura. The event was inaugurated by Sri Anil Ji Sethi by lighting a lamp.Around 50 units of blood was collected during the campaign and would be distributed in hospitals across the city.
The camp was being organised to create awareness among the society on blood donation which was vital to save precious lives, which were being lost for want of blood. The one-day mega camp was organised to address this issue. All the donors were thoroughly screened and their hemoglobin count was recorded before they were allowed to donate blood.
This activity was organized on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Gyanoday Digambar Jain Trust. The trust expressed their gratitude to all the donors and promised to keep organizing many more activities for social cause.
It was great to also see many ladies queued up to donate the blood. Besides people from Gyanoday Group, people from nearby region also came and donated their blood. The trust thanked Ashok Jain, Srajan Jain and Anand Vardhan for their extended support for organizing this camp.
