#CII,#BBMP to support fitness campaign in #Bengaluru
“Yi Active Bengaluru”, a unique social initiative campaign by Young Indians (Yi) Bengaluru Chapter and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) was launched today to help stave off desk-bound lifestyle of young Bengalureans and urge them to take off their vile & inactive behavior for a healthy, active &positive life, fighting off many diseases.
The campaign was inaugurated by Lakshminarayana, Commissioner of BBMP and Ms. Reeth Abraham, Arjuna Awardee & International Athlete launched the Active Bengaluru website.
Present at the occasion were Mr. Sandeep Maini, Chairman, CII Karnataka, Mr. Siddharth Venkatesh, Chairman - Young Indians (Yi) Bengaluru Chapter and Dr. N Nagambika Devi, IAS, Prinicipal Secretary, Dept. of Youth Empowerment & Sports.
Speaking on the occasion, Arjuna Awardee & International Athlete Ms. Reeth Abraham said, “Keeping oneself fit and being active makes a person feel confident and approach life in a positive manner. I invite 1 million of my fellow Bengalureans to take the pledge to be active”.
"Our aim is to raise awareness among young professionals on the need for activity and will provide information, resources & help remove barriers”, said Mr. Siddharth Venkatesh, Chairman - Yi Bengaluru Chapter.
