Pesticide traces found in some popular tea brands

A cocktail of pesticide residues have been found in 46 samples of household tea brands. In fact, many of the pesticides found are not even approved for use on tea. This raises serious concerns about the impact of these pesticides on our health and the environment. After months of engagement with Greenpeace, Hindustan Unilever has already taken the first step towards cleaning up pesticides from their tea.

Tata Global Beverages Limited, Wagh Bakri Tea, Goodricke Tea, Twinings, Golden Tips, Kho-Cha and Girnar are some of the tea brands where pesticide residues have been found, says Greenpeace.
