Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Rajasthan Govind Sharma today directed officials to strictly monitor expenditure of candidates for the September 13 bypolls to four assembly constituencies.
At a meeting with officials of Income Tax and Excise departments, airport and banks, the CEO directed to conduct proper monitoring on suspicious movements, cash transaction, supply of illegal liquor and to initiate appropriate action.
The CEO laid stress on checking supply of illegal liquor in Surajgarh constituency in Jhunjhunu which shares border with Haryana.
