The DSLR camera market in India is expected to be around 3.6 lakh units this year. Nikon and Canon together hold about 90 per cent of the DSLR camera market in India. 'Canon India expects to retain its market share. The company is growing at a rate of 10 per cent per year and would achieve its business target of Rs. 2,100cr by the end of this year,' as per a press release issued by Canon India today.
With the onset of the festive season a slew of promotions, discounts and freebies are expected from the major players in the market.
