Training on Fruit Nursery Management for Indian Field Extension Agents in #Israel

Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation and CINADCO - The Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation are organizing a training on Fruit Nursery Management for Indian field extension agents from 8-18 September in CINADCO’s International Training Centre, Kibbutz Shefayim, Israel.


14 Participants comprising of experts and professionals from Departments of Agriculture and Horticulture in Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Odisha, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are participating in this seminar.

The purpose of this seminar is to provide participants with skills in planning, implementation, managing and monitoring all aspects of nursery establishment and production. The Indian participants will be able to further impart the knowledge acquired during the seminar in their respective areas. The training program also includes professional lectures, visits and practical practices.

This training is part of the Indo-Israeli Agriculture Cooperation Project, signed between the two countries in 2008. Within this framework, Israel shares best practices and knowhow, and provides professional training programs conducted both in Israel and India. To achieve this goal, it was decided to establish 28 Agriculture Centers of Excellence in 9 states by the year 2015.
