The Egyptian-born actor Omar Sharif, best known for his roles in classic films Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago, has died at age of 83.
Antonio Banderas remembered the actor, who won a Golden Globe for Doctor Zhivago, as a "great storyteller, a loyal friend and a wise spirit."
In Lawrence of Arabia one of the film's many stunning visual tricks, Sharif first appears out of a mirage. He slowly inches closer towards Lawrence and his Bedouin guide.Perhaps this is one of the best entries in Hollywood movie till date
