#India has the second highest Higher Education Enrolment in the world after #China

According to FICCI-EY report in 2014, Higher Education Enrolments in India is estimated to grow from 28.5 million in 2012 to 42.1 million by 2020. Another report by EY states that by 2020, India would need 40 million University places; among the existing ones only a few Indian Higher Education Institutes are globally ranked. The acclaimed Foreign Universities have shown interest to realise India’s demographic dividend and have taken a step forward to fill the need gap by offering study programmes which are distinctive and globally competitive. With the increasing demand of both skilled workers and world-class education among the aspiring Indian middle class, India has the second highest Higher Education Enrolment in the world (after China) according to UNESCO.
