India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that there's an urgent need to reform the United Nations security council to give it teeth and make it more credible.
Earlier Modi met UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. UN peacekeeping operations and reform of the United Nations Security Council came up for discussion. On the subject of climate change, the Prime Minister said there is currently a trust deficit between developed and developing countries. He also said focus should be on positive goals, and not just on reducing emissions.
