#Barack Obama expresses frustration for failing to bring gun control regime in #US

"Somehow this has become routine. The reporting is routine. My response here at this podium ends up being routine, the conversation in the aftermath of it ... We have become numb to this," said Barack Obama on Oregon shooting.

"We are the only advanced country on Earth that sees these kinds of mass shootings every few months," Obama said, and hammered Congress for even blocking the collection of data on shooting incidents.

Over ten thousand Americans are killed every year by gun violence.US Govt spend huge amounts of money every year fighting terrorism, yet at the national level fails to take minor steps (like mandetory background checks on all gun sales nationally) to stop gun violence.

Obama spoke about the Umpqua Community College shooting in southwestern Oregon. He did not hide his anger about the tragedy — and America's apparent unwillingness to do anything about it.
