#BMTC to buy 600 new buses from #Ashok Leyland

Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) ia all set to buy 600 new buses from Ashok Leyland to augment its current bus fleet.It will also retire 200 old buses.This was confirmed by the MD of Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) to a local TV channel.


Meanwhile, Bengaluru Upa Lokayukta Justice Subhash B Adi has issued notices to Managing Director of Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to give details on the number of accidents that occurred due to negligence of the drivers and the disciplinary action taken against them.
Recently, a 17-year-old PU student Poornima Sundaram of Mount Carmel College, on her way to write her college lege exam, was fatally knocked down by a BMTC bus at the Kempegowda bus station in Majestic.
Ashok Leyland is part of  Hinduja group and 2nd largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in India.
