Greenwood High International School organized a special sports day for kids from 4 orphanages to encourage and help cultivate their talent. Around 176 kids participated from Madhu Mansion, Thayi Mane, Samarthanam and Samarthanam, Hulimavu.In addition to the sports day, the students also organized a donation drive where all the students from Grade 1 to 12 donated old clothes and shoes for orphanage kids.
Niru Agarwal, Trustee, Greenwood High International School said, “It is not the first time that our students have whole-heartedly taken up a social initiative. We have always been supportive to the students and their ideas of reaching out to the underprivileged. We were quite happy and obliged when the IB students approached us with the Sports Day idea. We hope these kids inspire our students as well to work hard towards their passion and nurture their innate talent. We are proud of our students, who have grown to be thoughtful and responsible citizens”.
