Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan are avoiding the media since the Panama papers leaks.Sr Bachchan issued a statement that he did not know any of the companies, had not been a director of any of them and that “it is possible that (his) name has been misused.”
But ongoing investigation into The Panama Papers has showed that actor Amitabh Bachchan served as director of four offshore shipping companies between 1993 and 1997.Records show that Bachchan, as director of two of these firms, took part in their board meetings “by telephone conference.”
Amitabh Bachchan left The Times of India Film Awards 2016 from back door to avoid media and recently did not attend a studio launch in Mumbai though his name was printed as chief guest.Likewise, Bahu of Bachchan parivaar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is avoiding any media interaction for promotion her upcoming movie Sarbjit.
