CyberKnife Inventor, Dr Adler visits HCG CyberKnife Center, Bangalore

Professor John R. Adler Jr., Professor of Neurosurgery and Radiation Oncology, Stanford University Medical Center, Stanford, CA and Inventor, CyberKnife®, was at HealthCare Global Enterprises (HCG) CyberKnife Center, Bangalore on March 11, 2009 on a visit, his first to India. HCG offers CyberKnife, the world’s first whole body non-invasive robotic radiosurgery therapy to cancer patients in India , at an affordable price. Dr. Adler also addressed a distinguished gathering of radiation oncologists invited from across the country for a scientific session. CyberKnife is a non-surgical, pain-free system that can treat lesions and tumors anywhere in the body. Using sophisticated robotics, CyberKnife significantly reduces treatment time from 5 weeks to 5 days, with nil or minimal side effects. CyberKnife offers new hope to patients who have inoperable or surgically complex tumors or who may be looking for an alternative to surgery.
