Symphony Services Appoints Sanjay Dhawan President & CEO
Symphony Service Corp., a global company specializing in software product engineering outsourcing services, today announced the appointment of Sanjay Dhawan as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Pallab Chatterjee, Symphony Services’ current Chairman & CEO, will revert to his role as Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.
Dhawan steps into the role against the backdrop of impressive business results for Symphony Services. The company’s laser focus on Engineering Outcome Certainty—and attracting and retaining the most skilled and experienced talent in the software engineering space—has translated into 10 percent quarter-over-quarter revenue growth, with 30 percent EBITDA growth. The total contract value of new bookings are at 90 percent of the company’s annual revenue run rate level in the June quarter.
“I’m very excited to welcome Sanjay Dhawan to Symphony Services,” said Pallab Chatterjee, Chairman of the board of Symphony Services. “Over the last year we have virtually transformed the company to ensure we commit to delivering on business outcomes for clients that span multiple technology and industry sectors and Sanjay’s leadership will help us accelerate growth in the ISV, embedded and engineering services markets.”
Before joining Symphony Services, Dhawan served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Aricent, a KKR owned privately held company with global operations in over 25 countries and over 10,000 employees. At Aricent, he was responsible for company strategy, sales, marketing and the management and oversight of several high-growth business units and various functional units. Prior to Aricent, Dhawan was the Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Inkra Networks, a company credited with defining the virtual networking market segment. Dhawan also held chief strategy, development, sales and management roles at Netopia, StarNet and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). He has authored several networking-related publications and books and has chaired IEEE 802 and ANSI X3T9 standards sub-groups. He holds a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Brunel University, England, and a BS degree in Electronics and Communications from REC Kurukshetra, India.
Said Dhawan of his appointment, “There is a fundamental shift happening in the software industry as independent software vendors ISVs look for strategic partnerships in engineering services. Symphony Services’ award-winning innovation, deep industry and domain expertise and broad service offerings strongly differentiate us against our competitors. Our board and investors have given us a clear mandate to drive organic and inorganic growth, and see Symphony Services reach a $500 million revenue run rate and beyond. I look forward to working with our team and our clients to ensure we achieve our goal.”
