Speaking about the engagement, Jamie Miller, Secretary, Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services said, “These improvements make it easier for non-custodial and custodial parents to get their questions answered and ultimately increase access to more resources in the care of their children.”
Mahindra Satyam's document management system will include scanning and imaging which will enable child support staff to electronically store, view and send information such as applications, court orders and insurance documentation received from case participants, the courts and other agencies. This will help in assisting child support staff in their mission to provide better customer service to custodial parents and non-custodial parents. Additionally, it will also develop a new electronic forms database which will provide state-wide uniformity and improve access for Child Support Enforcement (CSE) caseworkers and participants.
Atul Kunwar, President, Mahindra Satyam, said, "Our experience of working on various technology platforms enables us to offer a wide range of services to our clients. The document management solution to the Commonwealth of Kentucky will enable us to bring forth the experienced leaders to deliver the best possible product to the customer. Being Microsoft's gold partner ensures that we are abreast with the latest updates from Microsoft."
The project will be implemented over twenty months. Mahindra Satyam will work collaboratively with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Cabinet of Health and Family Services’ (CHFS). It will be based on Microsoft SharePoint technology and imaging solution from Knowledgelake, Inc. The Sharepoint based portal will provide for a policy framework along with the repository for forms and documents
