Actress Ramya inaugurates exhibition "Amaanat" at Oxford BookStore in Bangalore

Oxford Bookstore, Bangalore and The Creative Living Foundation hosted an exquisite exhibition - ‘Amaanat’ to encourage the traditional arts and artisans. The three day exhibition of woven and embroidered saris, suits and stoles was inaugurated by Ms. Ramya, a renowned cinestar. The occasion was also graced by the presence of Ms. Munira Sen, Director of Common Purpose, Bangalore and Ms. Elizabeth Chapman, President of Overseas Women's Club, Bangalore . The inauguration was followed by the launch of Weavers Development Fund’ by the honourable guests including Dr. Harbeen Arora - Founder, Creative Executive Officer and author of the acclaimed book ‘Creative Living’.



The exhibition focused at displaying handloom works of weavers from across the country with an aim to preserve the ancient arts of weaving.It also played the role to spread the awareness about India’s invaluable heritage and made available a wide range of quality creations at affordable prices.This initiative has brought more entrepreneurship and innovation opportunities back into the field of handicraft, giving the much needed momentum to the weavers and their crafts.

Amaanat operates a ‘Weavers Development Fund’ that supports education for the children of the weavers to encourage them to pursue their family tradition and take Indian art to a new level of expertise. This philanthropic fund encourages innovation in design, fashion trends, technology and marketing.



Creative Living Foundation has succeeded in showcasing works of the weavers from different parts of the country thereby bridging a gap between the weavers and the audience at large.

The founder and CEO (Creative Executive Officer), Dr. Harbeen Arora, is an author, entrepreneur and a mentor to women in all aspects of their well-being and entrepreneurial talents.
