Sonata Software Achieves SEI CMMI Level 5, the highest standard in Quality Software Delivery

onata Software (www.sonata-software.com), a leading IT consulting and software services provider, today announced that it has been assessed at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 5 (Version 1.2-Development Model) for its development centres in Bangalore and Hyderabad. The Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) assessment was done by QAI Global Services. The assessment covered Development, Testing, Maintenance and Support Projects at the centres.


The assessment recognises Sonata's capability to provide high quality software solutions through robust software development processes. It also signifies Sonata's commitment towards delivery excellence, process maturity and service quality ensuring timely and best-in-class solutions for its customers globally.

Developed by Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University, USA, CMMI Maturity Level 5 is the highest level of process maturity that independently verifies an organization's capabilities to continuously enhance its processes through incremental and innovative process and technological improvements. CMMI Maturity Level 5 affirms the organization's ability to statistically manage the sub-processes in order to achieve process and business objectives.
