Bajaj Lighting has entered the premium segment with the launch of a stunning range - Megaman, Bajaj Hyperion and LEDZ, at a high profile meet, here in Bangalore. With an offering that caters to different customer segments, Bajaj Lighting has developed a strategy to ensure a greater presence in the growing domestic market.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri C.G.S. Mani, Executive President and Head of Lighting BU - Bajaj Electricals Ltd, said “It gives me immense pleasure to launch the Megaman, Hyperion Range and LEDZ in Bangalore as the city has always been an important market for us at Bajaj Electricals. We are sure our consumers here will be as excited as we are about the new additions to the Bajaj Lighting range. Our latest offerings in the segment as high on energy-efficiency and are extremely eco-friendly. ”
As President of Elcoma, the apex body for the Lighting Industry in India, Shri C.G.S. Mani added “We have set various standards in the LED offering to curb inferior products. We have also worked closely with several state governments to ensure that these products are accessible to the consumer by reducing duties and taxes.”
He further added, “With the lineup of our new products and many new projects and offerings in the pipeline, we are confident of having a great 2012, whereby we are aiming for Rs. 551 crores in this financial year with a growth of 30% and CAGR of 25%”.
The company’s lighting division in the South is growing at 55% with a CAGR of 47% over 4 years

Bajaj Lighting with its backing of decades of trust and commitment to technological development has recently entered this premium segment with two ranges - Bajaj Hyperion followed by Bajaj iLED to be launched subsequently. With an offering that caters to varied segments Bajaj is all set to light up the home decorative market.
Bajaj Hyperion is available in International designs and with Energy saving, green technology features. The product range will be launched across the country. Some of the premium items in the Hyperion range are – Ceiling lights and Wall lights primarily used as decorative lighting products to add splendor to rooms. These products will use CFLs / T5 as their light source.
Bajaj LEDZ
Bajaj LEDZ range includes products like Bulbs and Tubes which use LED as the source. These products are direct replacement of conventional ICD Lamps, Candle Lamps, MR 16 lamps and FTLs. These products have long life (>25k) and give 8 times more light.

During the Year ended 31st March, 2012, Lighting Segment have registered Total revenue of Rs. 764.8 crores respectively, a growth of 21.2% over the corresponding previous period
