One more Glorious night to mesmerize fashionistas by Fashion historian, designer and stylist Shilpi Choudhary presenting her collectionstribal Nomadic -‘Romas of India’-The ‘Lambhani’ collection and ‘Grey Metallica ’collection with an international high look.


Models were stunning and to grace the event, the showstopper was Handsome Nauman Sait from Mumbai an actor and Model, winner of MTv ROADIES Season 6,Brand ambassador of Flying Machine,sach ka samna in (Life ok),raaz pichle janam ka in (NDTV),commericial adds BPCL with Dhoni &John Abraham.Lead actor for Ekta Kapoors Koi Aneko Hai (coloursTV).

The first collection ‘Lambanis’-The Romas of India talks about Lambani needle work. Lambanis trace their ancestry to the ‘Romas’of Europe.’Romas’ being a nomadic in nature migrated outside Europe, alive of these tribal settled in India- in Rajasthan and Karnataka.

In Karnataka they are settled in Bijapur and Sandur.The designer has been inspired by their craft and lifestyle and the result has created Lambani collection in a new avatar. This collection has lambani needle work, metal and tasselembellishments. The entire Lambanilogistics has been used to create short casual wear in skirts, One pieces ,flared pieces and shorts with smoking.Orginal Lambani accessories have been used for makeover.Lambani accessories are usually in silver ,gold, white metal and iron , They also use current Indian coins as accessory detailing in their jewellery.

Men’s collection is fusion style of Hydrabadi Khada duppatta, Churidars, Kurtas, Pant Style Churidars, ‘Gharchola’ as drape and Lambani accessories for the bling in the first collection.

Shilpi Choudhary,She specializes in ‘Avante Garde’ fashion collection inspired by history. She talks about social awareness through her apparels.

She says, that Indian ethnicity in apparels should be given an international touch so that it sees its place in global high fashion stores,The idea is to basically bring the Lambani craft of needlework in a progressive contemporary wear, to create a market and promote their wares in urban high fashion market In this way we can exquisite embroidery art and we can save the traditional art from dying out.

The second collection is a metallic Grey and matte gold in wrinkled chiffon, created in one piece will power party dress .This collection is recognized in steel grey coiffure in artistic floral design. Handmade paper in ‘Origami’ style has been used as embellishments. Makeup for female models is dramatic and inspired by canvas art, eyes are elaborate and lips nude.

Men second collection is western formal wear in trousers and blazer; also skirts for men which are a progressive do in international places.
