Forum Mall Celebrates Bangalore’s Undiscovered Talent with “Break-Free”

Forum Mall, the city’s most preferred shopping destination organised a four day talent hunt- ‘Break- Free’ for budding musicians to showcase their talent and be judged by the best in the industry. Contestants, music enthusiasts and curious shoppers alike gathered at the front of Forum to be a part of the celebrations.


Industry giants like Swarathma, Slain and G.S. Mani were present to judge the event classified by genres. This year’s initiative by Forum Mall was appreciated by judges and participants alike. Pavan from ace fusion band, Swarathma wished there were showcases like this when he was kick-starting his career.

‘Break Free’ saw over 60 registrations this year, giving contestants a promising platform to make a mark in the industry. With a mix of new talent, aspiring musicians and corporate bands, the event saw an interesting mix of performances including an under 14 band, ‘Crock Chets’ that created quite a buzz with their songs.

‘Break Free’ wrapped up in style with a special celebrity guest - music genius, Kailash Kher, who gave the audience a stellar performance. Finally, Anusha Bhat, ‘Antardhwani’ and ‘The News’ were declared winners in their respective genres.

This was the second successful year that Forum Mall has taken this initiative to provide a platform to young talent tucked away in the city.
