Mr Anil Kumar, CMD, BEL, received the Raksha Mantri’s Award for ‘Excellence in Performance’ in the ‘Institutional Category’ from the Defence Minister, Mr A K Antony, at the awards ceremony held in New Delhi on October 5, 2012.
Mr H N Ramakrishna, Director (Marketing), BEL, and Mr V V Balakrishnan, GM (International Marketing Division), BEL, received the Raksha Mantri’s Award for ‘Best Performance in Export’ for International Marketing Division of BEL from the Defence Minister.
Mr S K Sharma, Director (BEL-Bangalore), and Mr P C Jain, GM (Military Radar), BEL-Bangalore, received the Raksha Mantri’s Award for ‘Best Performing Division of DPSUs’ for Military Radar Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of BEL-Bangalore from the Defence Minister.
Mr Amol Newaskar, Director (Other Units), BEL, and Mr G Raghavendra Rao, GM (BEL-Hyderabad), received the Raksha Mantri’s Award for ‘Import Substitution’ for the development of Low Power Jammer Antennae System by Hyderabad Unit from the Defence Minister. Mr Anil Kumar, CMD, BEL; and Mr P C Jain, GM (Military Radar), BEL-Bangalore; received the Raksha Mantri’s Award for ‘Import Substitution’ for the indigenous development of Weapon Locating Radar (Swathi) as a substitute for ANTPQ 37 Radars by Military Radar SBU of BEL-Bangalore.
Dr Ajit T Kalghatgi, Director (R&D), and Mr R K Handa, GM (Network Centric Systems), BEL-Ghaziabad, received the Raksha Mantri’s Award for ‘Design Effort’ for Combat Management System-SNF by the CMS-SNF group of Network Centric Systems, BEL-Ghaziabad, from the Defence Minister.
Mr M L Shanmukh, Director (HR), and Mr S K Acharya, GM (Electronic Warfare & Avionics), BEL-Bangalore, received the Raksha Mantri’s Award for ‘Innovation’ for the capability enhancement of Tarang Display Unit to NVG compatibility by Electronic Warfare & Avionics SBU of BEL-Bangalore.
