Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest car manufacturer today announced that it will be a key sponsor of new TV show ‘Suraj – The Rising Star’ on Colors TV. The show will be an animated series of a 16 year youngster - Suraj, who is passionate about cricket and dreams about being an idol leading his team to victory. The series creatively brings out the hardships and challenges Suraj faces in his journey towards his goal.
‘Suraj – The Rising Star’ is a remake of the highly acclaimed Japanese baseball animation film ‘Kyojin no Hoshi’ (Star of the Giants). The series will be to be aired on Colors every Sunday at 10 am starting 23rd December 2012.
‘Suraj – The Rising Star’ is a step towards strengthening the Indo – Japan cultural relationship. The show is an amalgamation of Japanese technology and Indian Culture. It marks the 60th anniversary of bilateral ties between India and Japan.
