Bachupally campus of Oakridge – India’s Largest International School, celebrated its 4th Founder’s Day with the theme ‘Internationalism through collaboration’ on Saturday 15th Dec, 2012 at its campus. Sports Icon, Sania Mirza joined in the celebrations of this most important mile stone of the Bachupally campus. She inaugurated an Exhibition by Oakridge students on Development of Global Citizen through international collaboration and the creative fest. This founder’s day was special with parents and students taking part in the celebration of learning.

 Addressing the students on the occasion, Sania Mirza said, “no matter what you dream for your future, don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t accomplish that dream. I was also told that I cannot become a tennis star, as tennis is tough, see what I am today, so go ahead, dream and accomplish your goal.”

 Children from across Hyderabad participated in the Creative fest on internationalism by enrolling for essay writing and painting contests on the topic of Technology and Globalization – Journey towards Unification.

 Oakridge Bachupally campus has made a significant progress towards giving significant international exposure to their kids by initializing various student exchange programs, tied-up with prominent schools worldwide, there by laying the foundation of cultural exchange and knowledge sharing between the students of either side of the globe.

 Mrs. C. Adilakshmi, Visionary principal of Oakridge Bachupally campus, says, “Oakridge Bachupally campus has been the front runner of internationalism and usage of modern technology to impart the learning skills among children. We have tie-up with many schools worldwide and have worked towards imparting internationalism among children, thereby shaping them as Global Citizens. This year is also special because the school has won the International Schools Award from British Council.”
