The Camp had Painting competition for children, Quiz for College students on Health topics, besides interactive sessions including talks by leading doctors of the city on diabetes and hypertension. The expert talk’s encompassed topics associated with Type 1 diabetes, Effect of diabetes and hypertension on pregnant women, Complications associated with diabetes and hypertension. The Clinic also extend free investigations related to diabetes and hypertension, besides free diet, physiotherapy and exercise counselling, for the visitors. The Exhibition had multiple booths educating visitors on these two lifestyle diseases.
Dr. ThriVikram, Diabetologist at The Apollo Clinic, Begumpet, said, diabetes is catching up with younger generation and its associated complications are not known to most. This camp will bring about awareness of diabetes and enable everyone to get a free check-up done, specific to diabetes.
