The drive saw all the employees from the company’s corporate office as well as its three facilities in Madhapur, Gachibowli and Prasad’s IMAX present. In order to promote the drive, CarZ harnessed the power of its social media presence and spread the word of the campaign on its Facebook page. Several people got in touch with company representative to register themselves for the drive.
This blood donation drive began at 8.00 AM and all participants were informed to arrive only after a hearty breakfast. As an incentive, those who successfully donated blood were provided with donor cards soon after they received the results of their tests. Going forward, these donor cards can be produced at the time of an emergency and the donor will be entitled to a unit of blood free for himself. It can also be used to procure blood at a discounted price of Rs 500 for a unit for the immediate family. As a token of appreciation, each of the donors also received a personalized letter from the Governor.
Speaking on the occasion of this event Founder and Managing Director of CarZ, Venu Donepudi said, “For many of us, the desire to do a good deed for others is always there, however numerous constraints keep us from actually going out and doing something productive. By organizing this blood donation camp, we have given not only our staff, but even those who would like to come forward, the chance to help save a life. The success of our business had made a huge difference in our lives; we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our anniversary than to help make a difference in the life of someone who needs it.”
