MY LOVE CAPITAL is a movement to mobilize people around the country to select India’s Love Capital for the year 2013 with the hope that it will bring in a feeling of positivity around us. Snapdeal.com would capture votes of people across the country for the city they associate with love. The voting begins today and the results would be announced a day prior to Valentine’s Day i.e. 13th Feb 2013.
A dedicated online destination with presence on all social networking sites like Facebook & Twitter will act as the platform for this movement where anyone would be able to vote, upload photographs and videos denoting the city they associate with love the most. A sample video can be seen here.http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=EBqG5QqKoV4
Student of the year actor Kayoze Irani adds, “My love capital has to be the city that I live in, I was actually born in Bombay and now I live in Mumbai. I love it because it is where you are from and it is what you connect with. You really notice the love you have for the city and what the city means to you when you travel outside the city and whether you are in the most beautiful places in the world, whether it be Venice or
New York or Rome, you would that you are always gonna come back to this place. At the end of the day it’s my home, at the end of the day it’s the place I love”
Renowned celebrity & actress Huma Qureshi also talks about her favourite city in India:
Goa to which she adds: “My love capital is the city of Goa it has got lovely beaches, it has got great tourist locations and I don’t think any other place captures the essence of romance like Goa does so that’s my love capital, what’s yours?”
Speaking about this campaign, Mr Kunal Bahl, Co-Founder and CEO, Snapdeal.com, said “My Love Capital is an endeavour by Snapdeal.com tobring back positivity and love for our country, its cities and the people around us. The measure of success in this movement is not which city emerges as the Love Capital of India, but whether it galvanizes people to feel more positive about the country we live in. We are hopeful and confident, that in our own small way, we’ll be able to move the needle.”
