The 18th annual GSMA Global Mobile Awards recognized and celebrated all the contributions made to the ever evolving and developing mobile industry. The nominees for the 18th annual Global Mobile Awards were announced on February 4, 2013. The winners were proclaimed on Tuesday, 26th February at the GSMA Mobile World Congress, in an afternoon ceremony in Barcelona hosted by one of UK’s best-loved writer, actor and comedian, David Williams.

This year there were over 600 entries and nominations for the 37 awards, the largest ever number of honors to be presented at the Global Mobile Awards. A panel of independent experts, analysts, journalists, academics and, in some cases, mobile operator representatives, judged the awards.
