At the Kruiser and Klimber Zones, children were able to express themselves freely and experience activities like, abacas, twister, rhymes & puppet show, carnival mask making, twister, life size snakes & ladders game, motion xbox games and much more which were based on Multiple Intelligence with prime focus on Linguistic, Logical, Musical, Spatial and Kinesthetic Intelligence.
Keeping in mind the need for inculcating healthy lifestyle amongst young children, Kidzee on this occasion organized for a Body Mass Index assessment where age appropriate BMI charts were drawn out for every child and parents were given tips on healthy eating habits with healthy snack recipes and more…Children also made their own fruit salads from a variety of healthy fruits to choose from.
Parents found it difficult to get children off the Bouncing Castle or away from the Dancing Balloon. ‘I have been here for 4 hours now and I still can’t get my son to leave’ said a smiling parent.
The occasion was graced by eminent personalities like Mr. Roshan Baig (MLA), Mr. Ishtiyakk Ahmed (corporator), Mr. Guna Shekar (counsellor), Mr. Shakeel Ahmed (Counsellor, Shivajinagar) and Mr. Abdul Sattar (Circle Inspector Commercial Street).
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Anwar Pasha, Head South Operations Kidzee, said, “Carnival brings friends and family together for fun. The main idea behind this carnival was to provide an opportunity to kids to spend their day in a fun- filled exciting manner with their loved ones on the occasion of Kidzee’s 10th Anniversary Celebration. There was everything which the kids could have wished for. We are happy that they went home with a smile on their face”
He added, “Today, eating disorders are growing rapidly, especially amongst the kids. Most children love junk food which can cause undernourishment and have serious consequences on the child's mental and physical growth. Education on Nutrition imparted in schools can immensely help in creating awareness and in inculcating a healthy lifestyle for children not just at school but at home as well.
Children continued to enjoy their day over exciting games such as mini golf, mini bowling, archery, hoopla, treasure chest, x-box motion games, music, food, over 1000 prizes to win and loads of creative activities that had grabbed the eyeballs of many at the Sunday gala event.
Although designed specifically for the kids, parents could not control themselves and enjoyed playing the Karnival Games themselves. The laughter’s and cheers of the kids and parents echoed throughout the Karnival.
In the end Children and Parents alike bid goodbye to the Karnival with their hands full of prizes and gifts and the brightest of smile on their faces.
