The maiden edition of Engineering Expo Hyderabad 2013, the multi-location trade fairs from Network 18 Media & Investments Limited and one of the largest SME gatherings in the city was inaugurated by eminent dignitaries including Mr. Devendra Surana, President, The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI); Mr. Ganesh Parthasarathy, CEO, Tussor Machine Tools India Pvt Ltd; Mr. P Ravi Ramana, Assistant General Manager, Andhra Bank and Ms. Archana Tiwari Nayudu, Editor, Network 18 Publishing.
Engineering Expo, India’s premier trade fair on engineering & manufacturing is being held at HITEX Exhibition Centre from May 31st to June 3rd, 2013 and will witness over 15,000 business visitors from across the country.
Speking on the occasion, Mr Devendra Surana, said an EXPO provides tremendous exposure for the exhibitor and awareness of latest trends for the visitor. The Engineering Expo is an excellent platform for exhibitors. He said, the manufacturing sector has tremendous potential but the bane of the sector has been lack of trained manpower. The power crisis in the state has impacted the industrial sector in Andhra Pradesh to the tune of Rs 50000 to 70000 crores. Several SMEs shut shop and the others will take atleast an year to recover from losses.
While the industrial climate is conducive for growth and opportunities are rife in India, Hyderabad in specific and Andhra Pradesh in general is brimming with potential and possibilities. Andhra Pradesh boosts of the manufacturing might and has emerged as a key state for the knowledge-based industry and it reflects in the healthy FDI inflow over the years that the state has attracted. With Hyderabad being tactically situated amidst three Industrial Estates of Chandulal Bardari, Sanathnagar and Azamabad, the city has been into IT for the past many years and has rightfully earned the tag of ‘Cyberabad’.
Adding to this advantage, the maiden edition of Engineering Expo in Hyderabad is all set to witness a conglomeration of industry leaders; new innovations, product & technology launches; diverse industry verticals; customised manufacturers and exhibition of latest products in manufacturing & other industries apart from other excitements that are packed as a part of Expo Days.
With value adding partnerships like FAPCCI (Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and with co-operation from UNIDO-ICAMT (United Nations Industrial Development Organization - International Centre for Advancement of Manufacturing Technology); FIEO (Federation of Indian Export Organizations) and NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation); MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) and supported by Andhra Bank, the much-awaited mega trade event is already a hit in the industrial circuit.
In his message to the industry, Sandeep Khosla, CEO - Publishing, Network 18 Media & Investments Limited says, “The cluster of activities lined up as a part of Engineering Expo Hyderabad is an added edge for Hyderabad in its quest to be the preferred investment destination and satiate every investors’ critical need of an eco-system which offers quality, precision and performance. And if you add an array for products and services on display along with meaningful business meetings, its spells profitability and productivity…it also goes by the name of Engineering Expo Hyderabad”!
