Formerly with Oracle and Deloitte, Samik was also instrumental in setting up Deloitte’s Oracle practice in India. Speaking on his appointment, Samik Nandi said, “I am excited to be taking on this new role with KPMG in India at a time when strategic decision making and the introduction of new solutions is imperative to sustain growth. “Management Consulting is strengthening its position by adding 7 to 8 Partners and Executive Directors, a large part of who will focus on transformational projects for clients; the advice will be technology oriented with Oracle in the focus. In terms of head count KPMG India intends to grow by 50 percent over this year which translates to around 600 people and a significant addition of that will be in technology and Oracle in particular” Mr. Dasgupta added.
